Overview

WorldVentures, a dynamic, global, member-based travel company, which utilizes network marketing as its main sales channel and is dedicated to service through the WorldVentures Foundation, is currently looking for an Account Manager to join the Global Marketing (GM) team within the Plano headquarters. WorldVentures is a fast-paced environment with a core of innovation and fun. The Agency Account Manager ensures that the GM team makes extraordinary things happen for the internal business partners (clients) we serve by collaborating to develop strategies aimed to help them accomplish their product, program and/or campaign goals, and communicate these initiatives via creative briefs. This position will also carry out standard operating procedures to communicate any changes to existing materials, or basic work orders, to the Traffic department for a smooth running flow of work in and out of the MarCom, Creative Services and Video function areas at WorldVentures. More specifically the Account Manager will immerse themselves in the assigned areas to gain a better understanding of innovative brand marketing and campaigns in the industries we serve and to determine how competitive MLM corporations support their employees to build strong, loyal organizations. The Account Manager will also serve as a strategic consultant to the client teams and become an extension of their business and a trusted advisor. In the process of serving in this role, the Account Manager is responsible for maximizing our corporate brands and achieving measurable marketing, communications and creative results from dynamic, integrated campaigns to one-off solutions while working with internal and external clients. The Account Manager will have a keen understanding of our core audiences—Representatives in the field at various rank levels as well as our members (customers) and corporate employees.

 

Reporting Structure:

The successful candidate will be a key member in WorldVentures’ corporate internal Global Marketing agency based in our Plano, TX office and will report directly to the Director, Global Marketing Operations.

Responsibilities

The WorldVentures Account Manager collaborates with the Global Sales, Events and Recognition teams as well as cross-functional stakeholders to deliver solid strategy and planning and execute best in class marketing materials. Included in this planning is a well-defined timeline for launching the initiatives that works cross-line with other internal initiatives to achieve a holistic approach. This includes working with the necessary stakeholders to execute and effectively meet each partner’s goals and objectives and continually work toward achieving industry gold standards in travel, as well as membership and MLM products. Other core responsibilities are outlined as follows:

  • Meeting and communicating with internal business partners to discuss and define their needs, juggling multiple assignments at a time
  • Prompt the internal business partner with strategic questions to ensure a thorough thought process before project initiation
  • Actively identify and develop new marketing opportunities for WorldVentures’ Global Sales team aimed at supporting the success of their promotions, training and development programs, campaigns and/or events
  • Collaborate with internal business partner teams as well as cross-functional stakeholders to improve existing marketing efforts while holding them compliant and on brand
  • Keep up-to-date on assigned areas, which could include travel, local loyalty, MLM industry trends and competitor analysis
  • Allocate resource requirements, and brief the MarCom, Creative Services and Video team members involved in developing, designing and producing to meet the business partener's needs
  • Present campaign, project and/or event ideas, drawing from input from the Global Sales team and content expertise, while referencing industry trends and competitive analysis work to keep up to date
  • Write detailed creative briefs for the business partner's marketing initiatives
  • Manage through any changes in project scope 
  • Negotiating with the business partners on project prioritization within to meet deadlines, while solving any challenges from project initiation through its completion—always keeping projects moving forward
  • Manage assigned accounts, providing meeting notes, keeping business partners informed of project direction and ensuring that timelines are met
  • Execute solid follow-through and communication skills to keep the business partners abreast of the status of work through completion, including managing post-event retrospective meetings and notes to track and document what worked well and where improvements are needed
  • Recommend the necessary improvements to continuously elevate the performance and perception of the Global Marketing team; and guide where approved—advancing Global Marketing’s stability and gold standard of work output
  • Serve as a partner for both Global Marketing and business partner teams—including the negotiation of expected timelines and current bandwidth
  • Mentor and inform inter-Global Marketing execution teams to set them up for success with assigned internal business partners
  • Manage executive-level expectations when determining feasibility for completing projects and/or campaigns
  • Define KPIs and ensure that reporting is established
  • Adopt the processes and procedures used by the Marketing Operations team, including the project management tool to be used by the Traffic team to maximize productivity and ensure internal business partner satisfaction
  • Build consensus amongst conflicting points of view through collaboration and active discussions
  • Review and approve work at all stages to ensure that what is being produced/delivered is always in line with brand guidelines and the business partner’s expectations

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing and/or Account Management, preferably-within an MLM company; global marketing experience a plus
  • Excellent skills in writing, providing client services, and exercising adaptability and verbal communication—strong ability to work with and develop strong relationships with a range of people internally and externally to the organization, including C-suite executives
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration with other appropriate experience
  • Recognize quality in marketing communications and creative services
  • Extensive knowledge of the MLM, network marketing or direct sales industry as a corporate employee preferred
  • Strong presentation and negotiating skills
  • Confidence, tact and a persuasive manner
  • The ability to lead and motivate teams in a professional and calm manner
  • Must be adaptable to a fast-paced and growing environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
  • Solid business sense to do what is right for the internal business partner and the company
  • Ability to travel and/or work remotely during dedicated event periods, including unconventional hours as needed
