    The Senior Marketing Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of marketing projects within the Global Marketing team and works closely with all Marketing Operations functions. This role will support the team leaders by managing workflow through the creation of marketing project timelines, as well as managing staff resource allocation, and driving deadlines. They will also assign cross-functional responsibilities within the Creative, Video and MarCom groups, monitor project completion, and generate reporting to identify overarching project status, roadblock risks and resource constraints that will aid in determining team bandwidth.

    Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate will excel at time management, organization, managing people and cross-functional teams, and will be able to leverage their experience managing multiple projects concentrated on executing marketing deliverables and defined strategy while using project management systems. They will also give structure and support to the project management process within the team. Other core responsibilities are outlined as follows:

    • Research, develop and manage a project management system with report generation necessary to identify resource requirements, project volume and timelines, and risk analysis within the team on all marketing projects
    • Oversee and implement any new project management system across all functional teams
    • Partner with cross-functional teams and serve as liaison between the marketing operations team and core function areas such as MarCom, Creative, and Video, to identify and escalate potential risks and create/drive solutions
    • Ability to drive “client-first” approach while balancing the importance of planning timelines, processes and budgets
    • Responsible for maintaining communication and alignment with key members of the marketing team and product stakeholders to inform of any changes in project scope from the business partner, or risk to meeting deadlines, through real-time daily reporting
    • Proven ability to exercise flexibility with accommodating unexpected and urgent project requests while maintaining core project work throughout the team
    • Responsible for developing and maintaining appropriate relationships within the marketing group and across the company as needed so they become a reliable resource for getting project updates
    • Coordination of implementation projects from beginning stages to completion
    • Coordination with project teams for visibility and project timing while providing daily/weekly reporting of project progress and deliverables
    • Gather requirements for all new initiatives and identify dependencies
    • Responsible for meeting with Directors and Managers to report on compiled project statuses using project management tools such as Gantt chart.
    • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the creative briefs outlining the marketing deliverables necessary to support the business partner’s brand or campaign needs
    • Facilitate project status meetings and drive timelines while providing status updates
    • Collaborate with project teams to negotiate time and resource allocation as needed
    • Manage, direct and develop Traffic Team members through personal goals that align with the cascading company and department goals
    • Allocate resource requirements, and brief the MarCom, Creative Services and Video team members involved in developing, designing and producing to meet the business partner’s needs
    • Manage through any changes in project scope negotiating with business partners on project prioritization within to meet deadlines, while solving any challenges from project initiation through its completion—always keeping projects moving forward
    • Manage assigned projects, providing meeting notes, keeping business partners informed of project direction and ensuring that timelines are met
    • Execute solid follow-through and communication skills to keep business partners abreast of the status of work through completion, including managing post-event retrospective meetings and notes to track and document what worked well and where improvements are needed

     

    Qualifications

    • 7+ years of experience in project managing, preferably marketing projects in an agency setting
    • 3+ years of experience managing people
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
    • Project Management certification is preferred
    • Ability to implement and develop efficient project management workflow processes
    • Extensive experience utilizing good judgment to plan and accomplish goals
    • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-paced environment
    • Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as project management software systems
