    The Financial Analyst plays a critical role in providing financial reporting and analysis for multiple product lines.  This individual is heavily involved in P&L analysis, forecasting, budget reporting, and ad-hoc reporting.  The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of pulling, interpreting, and presenting data and the analysis in a clear and accessible manner.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Analyze financial and business performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against strategic/business plan and budgets.
    • Provide reports that include meaningful variance, trend analysis and metrics to assist in decision making
    • Help drive key insights and analytics
    • Execute value-added analysis and provide decision support for special projects and initiatives
    • Assist in developing finance and business presentations and related supporting materials
    • Assist in maintaining the company’s financial model including all assumptions thereto
    • Assist in the development, maintenance and enhancement of analytical models to determine optimal profitability/financial impact of current/future initiatives 
    • Assist in reviewing monthly and year-to-date financial performance against budget and prior year financial results and document significant variances along with comprehensive summaries and explanation to address these variances
    • Analyzes profit-and-loss income statements, and prepares reports and recommendations to management

    • Generates forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance and other areas of business

    • Assist the organization's financial planning

    • Assists in creating financial models of "what if" scenarios for future business planning decisions in areas such as new product development, new marketing strategies, etc.

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years experience in a financial analyst or reporting analyst role
    • Knowledge of financial statement preparation, P&L reporting, budget review, and forecasting
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience preferred.
    • Advanced Excel skills including the use of Vlookup and Pivot Table
    • SSRS experience and knowledge is required
    • Qlickview experience/knowledge is preferred but not required
