    The Sr. Director of Corporate Affairs will oversee two critical teams including PR and Social Media.  This is a strategic role that will focus on brand development, media communication, internal and external communications messaging and strategy, and the management and development of two high-energy teams.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage a team of PR and social media professionals providing career counsel, professional development support, monitoring and performance reviews
    • Oversee media strategy for global expansion
    • Achieve exceptional outcomes for internal clients ensuring consistency of service is delivered in line with company policy
    • Champion the company’s values and brand. Leverage sponsor partnerships to raise awareness of and promote the company brand. Maximize brand presence on various channels (e.g. web, and social media)
    • Develop senior press relationships and manage contacts with key commentators, industry spokespeople and sector influencers. Cultivate and maintain relationships with media and influential professionals.
    • Arrange interviews and press releases to promote our company and its products/services.
    • Organize PR events to increase awareness of our company.
    • Track and influence media coverage and report on PR campaigns’ results
    • Generate and respond to media inquiries in a coordinated, accurate, timely and clear manner.
    • Provide direction to global agency partners.
    • Engage in activities to proactively position company as market leader in current and emerging market spaces.
    • Position corporate executives as industry experts.
    • Liaise with external stakeholders to identify relationships and opportunities to enhance corporate reputation.
    • Protect and defend the company against any public challenge to our reputation.
    • Advise and draft corporate position statements and media messaging on issues and crises, in collaboration with Marketing, Legal and other key stakeholders.

    Qualifications

    10+ years experience in the following areas:

    • Leadership and management skills within a PR environment
    • Talent development expertise
    • Senior experience within a PR agency or in-house position
    • Business development abilities with track record of success
    • Keen networker and adept at building relationships with key influencers and industry spokespeople
    • Proven ability to present complex industry information to target audiences
    • Expertise at handling a range of media to place products, and grow brands
    • Excellent project management skills with strong organizational and planning skills
    • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
    • Ability to analyze complex data and interpret it for a range of audiences
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills
    • Strong negotiation and delegation skills
    • Business acumen with the ability to communicate across departments and represent PR at a senior level within the business

    Relevant Experience

    • Extensive experience of PR within a specific sector or industry relevant to the post A strong industry network and contacts with senior journalists and members of the press
    • Proven track record of successfully implemented PR campaigns for a range of clients
    • Polished presenter and adept at explaining PR terms and outcomes to senior players
    • Management experience of developing star performers and overseeing performance
    • Driven, ambitious and willing to contribute to the business

    BS degree (MS Preferred) in Corporate Affairs or related discipline or equivalent experience
