    The role of the Social Media Manager involves the planning and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns through social media optimization (SMO). They build brand identification through penetration of online social media, solicit, create and post content that attracts attention and encourages readers to share it with their social networks. This individual also establishes and maintains relationships with social network members, bloggers and the online community. Additionally, they participate in building websites that include integration points to various social networking and micro blogging sites and tools.


    • Develop and implement social media strategies and plans for our field team and leaders that facilitate and are integrated with the companys strategic goals
    • Work closely with all departments to develop timely posts and relevant content that supports the companys strategy and goals
    • Identify, create, write, prepare/format, post and manage relevant and interesting editorial content in multiple channels including blogs, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn and other social media sites as needed to grow our Executives online presence
    • Respond to stakeholder inquiries and comments on established channels in real time
    • Listen to and monitor all social media outlets: pages, sites, blogs on a daily basis and post/respond on particular topics or in response to other post/comments to facilitate conversations
    • Set, track and report on insights and meaningful metrics (KPIs) each week to evaluate success
    • Maintain social media post calendar


    • Bachelors Degree preferred, preferably in Journalism, Communications, English or related discipline
    • 5+ years of experience in Social Media role/function involving active participation in a wide variety of social media activities such as blogging, community development and management, social bookmarking, commenting, etc.
    • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, Google Local, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest etc.)
    • In depth understanding of popular social networks design, functionality, users.
    • Basic knowledge of HTML and Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator highly preferred.
