    The Training & Development Specialist designs, implements and monitors human resource programs and policies, including recruitment, learning and development, performance management, compensation, benefits, equal opportunity and diversity, etc. Anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs and trends.

    Responsibilities

    • The individual will work closely with leadership and HR to identify root cause needs and develop solutions for improved organizational and/or employee performance.
    • Design of in house, and with expert third parties, a solution which includes a blended approach to learning such as coaching, classroom training, action learning, and elearning.
    • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and leadership to identify and/or develop training and deliver blended training solutions and training sessions such a New Manager trainings, Monthly Manager trainings, Leadership Development, Business Specific and other training programs as identified.
    • Management of the training budget and negogiate vendor contracts.
    • Facilitate and host monthly manager and/or employee classroom or webinar trainings. Maintain distribution list, send invitations and follow-up with surveys to conduct training effectiveness.
    • Manage annual compliance training by ensuring required classes are identified/accessible, employees are enrolled and monitored for completion.
    • Manage elearning platorm, enrollment of classess and monitor user licence.
    • Assist in the maintenance and management of the L&D department page on SharePoint.  (Future plans:  Maintain LMS training records, rosters, and reports.)
    • Manage training calendar and schedules, registrations, and invitations. Manage classroom set up and scheduling of resources.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field or the equivalent work experience.
    • 3+ years of training and development experience including design and development. 
    • Experience in building/expanding talent management capabilities.
    • Professional certification(s) such as: working to obtain CPTM, CPLM, CPTM, CTDP, or CTP
    • Experience using Skillsoft, Captivate, Articulate or simliar tool
